When does GTA 6 come out?
Grand Theft Auto VI launches on 19 November 2026. The date is on Rockstar’s official GTA VI site and in Take-Two’s latest earnings report, and nothing has changed since Rockstar set it a year ago.
It is the only date that matters now. The game has been delayed twice, but Rockstar has since opened pre-orders, set the pre-load and released a launch trailer. That is the run-in of a game that is finished.

What time does GTA 6 unlock?
Rockstar has not announced an unlock time yet. The PlayStation Store listing points to midnight local time on 19 November, which is how Rockstar handled the PS5 pre-load as well. On Xbox the pre-load starts at the same moment worldwide (00:00 GMT), so Xbox players in the Americas may be able to play on the evening of 18 November. That part is not confirmed by Rockstar, and we will update this page when it is.
Is GTA 6 on PC?
No. GTA 6 launches on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. Rockstar has not announced a PC version, which follows the pattern of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Read more in our guide to GTA 6 on PC.
Can I buy GTA 6 on disc?
Not quite. There are no game discs. The boxed version in shops is a code in a box, on sale from 12 November, so everyone downloads the game. See GTA 6 pre-order and pre-load for sizes and times.
